Building the European Zero Waste Academy 2 (BEZWA2)

The BEZWA2 project aims to strengthen and professionalise the European network of zero waste experts. By further developing the European Zero Waste Academy, we provide a structured learning journey, a certification system, and opportunities for collaboration between practitioners across Europe.

Our mission is to empower environmental enthusiasts and professionals with the knowledge, skills, and recognition needed to support Europe’s transition towards a sustainable, circular, and zero waste future.

Expected Impact

  • 45 participants in on-site auditor trainings.

  • 60 participants in new online courses.

  • 5 new chapters added to the Zero Waste Handbook and 1,000 downloads of the updated edition.

  • 25 certifications awarded to zero waste professionals.

  • 240 participants engaged through community-building and networking events.
